Build Engineer (12 month Fixed Term Contract)

Our Build Engineers build and configure our software products to agreed customer specifications and workflows for each implementation. We are looking for additional people to support us for a 12-month period as we roll out our Evolution LIMS product across the UK. You will be required to travel and work away from your home frequently.

• Assisting with the development of business requirements, technical specifications and design specifications with our implementation team
• Developing, building, configuring and implementing software products to the agreed technical specification, ensuring they meet quality, security and safety standards
• Proactively identify, triage and manage or escalate risks and issues, developing and scoping options for remediation or mitigation as required
• Work with cross-functional teams such as technical, projects and delivery to ensure software is delivered on time and configuration and build are validated through user acceptance testing against the agreed specification
• Attend meetings, reporting delivery of work against key project milestones and delivery dates through to product sign off and hand over to customers
• Deliver product training to customers as required

Essential Skills and Experience

You will need to travel and work away from home frequently.

• Computer Science degree or equivalent level experience
• Previous experience of system configuration ideally gained within a clinical environment
• Obsessive about attention to detail and capable of taking direction
• Effective team worker, capable of working collaboratively with multi-skilled teams and also autonomously
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop a strong rapport within a team and with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
• Effective organisational ability capable of multi-tasking and re-prioritisation as required
