Solution

We introduced a range of new modules to our market-leading information systems

Stats

We were proud to be selected by NHS Wales to future-proof pathology services across the whole of the country

As we approach a new year, we start to reflect on the year just gone. It has been a strange and challenging time for everyone, but we must acknowledge how much the healthcare service has rallied to serve the population and keep the most vulnerable safe.

As an organisation we have adapted and grown significantly to evolve how we help clinical teams shape pathways to better outcomes on a national scale now and in the future. We wanted to take a moment to reflect on just some of our highlights from 2021, starting from the very beginning:

January

We began the year with gusto, sharing the exciting news that we were expanding our portfolio in the UK following our acquisition by The Citadel Group. Alongside our market-leading radiology and maternity systems we now offer hospitals and NHS Trusts additional solutions including our enterprise Laboratory Information Management System EVOLUTION, and Oncology Information Management Solution CHARM®.

February

We introduced a new Medical Consent module to our popular electronic consent platform eConsent which allows clinicians to prepare for and allow patients to approve medical procedures digitally and remotely, such as blood transfusions or medical photography, in addition to surgical procedures.

March

We announced the launch of a new centralised, digital repository of patient records and effective communication channel that is designed to help with appointment scheduling and reduce wasted COVID-19 vaccines.

As we approach a new year, we start to reflect on the year just gone. It has been a strange and challenging time for everyone, but we must acknowledge how much the healthcare service has rallied to serve the population and keep the most vulnerable safe.

April

In April we were able to share one of our largest projects to date after 17 trusts in the Southwest of England chose Wellbeing Software to facilitate cross organisational diagnostic reporting and image sharing through Cris Connect.

We also launched a new module for Cris, the first of our add-ons to be built through Google Design, a platform that uses open-source code to make it highly configurable and intuitive. Patient Reviewer gives users inside and outside the imaging department the ability to search for a patient locally, Trust wide or across regions with separate Cris instances

May

In May we were thrilled to be awarded the contract to provide our best of breed enterprise laboratory information management system (LIMS ) with Medicines Discovery Catapult’s Lighthouse Lab in the UK. The Evolution vLab LIMS solution will be used at the Alderley Park Lighthouse Lab to process a range of sample types.

We also continued to innovate our products, introducing a new module in our maternity information system Euroking that enables more effective communication between maternity departments and health visitors.

In addition to this we also welcomed a new partner to our AI Connect Marketplace and celebrated Citadel’s expansion in Australia after signing several new agreements for CHARM.

June

Citadel continued to grow its footprint in South Australia with Icon Cancer Care centre in Windsor Gardens, Adelaide going live with electronic chemotherapy prescribing system CHARM®, building on existing installations in Queensland, NSW, ACT, Western Australia, and Tasmania.

We celebrated University Hospitals of Leicester renewing and upgrading their Euroking contract and shared early results from St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals who had cut DNAs (Did not Attend) rates by 80% with efficienC.

We also welcomed Annalise to our growing portfolio of AI Connect Marketplace partners.

July

In July we were focused on the ways in which we can improve productivity in diagnostics services, particularly in radiology and laboratory services. We also announced Citadel’s new agreement with ACT Health, deliver Evolution vLab TM solution to support ACT’s blood transfusion laboratory.

August

This month we revisited integrated diagnostics with a new insight piece from Chris Yeowart that discussed how bringing connected diagnostic information systems could help address the growing NHS backlog. We also shared some highlights from our long-standing customer Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust who had delivered digital, paperless consent within six months with eConsent.

September

We wrapped up our integrated diagnostics series with a feature piece focusing specifically on the cancer care crisis and how connected diagnostic systems could help mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on cancer diagnosis and treatment.

We also welcomed our third new partner to the AI Connect Marketplace and explored how small changes can have a big impact in the NHS.

October

We were proud to be selected by  NHS Wales to future-proof pathology services across the whole of the country. Once live, the system will manage the more than 35 million test requests that are processed each year by 21 NHS Wales pathology labs, and support every hospital, clinic and GP nationwide.

We also celebrated our existing customers after Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust signed a new 5-year contract for Cris.

November

In November we recognised Citadel’s achievements after a shared oncology management platform was launched in Victoria to improve patient outcomes and continuity of care. The five-year agreement with Citadel Health  will streamline more than 10,000 chemotherapy treatments episodes each year with CHARM Evolution®.

We were delighted to announce the planned acquisition of Genie Solutions, leading specialist practice management software to 65% of medical specialists across Australia.  Our combined offering creates a platform to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes both in Australia and the world over.

December

We ended the year with a reflective piece from our resident radiology expert Philip Brentnall, which explored the five macro global trends in radiology that we can expect to see making headlines over the next twelve months.

The last twelve months have been transformative for Wellbeing Software and we’re confident that 2022 will bring with it exciting new challenges that we can’t wait to explore.

As we approach a new year, we start to reflect on the year just gone. It has been a strange and challenging time for everyone, but we must acknowledge how much the healthcare service has rallied to serve the population and keep the most vulnerable safe.
