Emma Price Joins Wellbeing as Digital Midwife

We are proud to announce that former midwife and Riverbank Birth Partnership co-founder Emma Price has been appointed as our Digital Midwife.

In her new role, Emma will draw upon her clinical background to support customers and product development, enhancing the Euroking experience for users and patients and helping align future enhancements with changes to NHS guidance for maternity services.

Euroking is our maternity information system (MIS), which provides healthcare professionals with easy access to medical records and information relating to pregnancy. There are a number of additional modules available including Intrapartum fetal monitoring, a responsive, paperless and Hi web-based application that delivers safer care for women by providing real-time electronic monitoring of observations during labour. Euroking also features Community Offline, an easy to use platform that enables midwives to download records for home visits and submit updates back to the central Euroking system.

Emma joins us with extensive clinical experience, having worked as a midwife at both Stepping Hill and Royal Oldham Hospitals before serving as a Professional Midwifery Advocate at Stepping Hill, where she was responsible for providing support, education, and quality improvements. In 2017, she co-founded The Riverbank Birth Partnership, a company that provides private antenatal, postnatal and hypnobirthing education to empower women through promoting choice and a positive birth.

Matt Smith, Product Director at Wellbeing said:

“We are delighted to welcome Emma to the Wellbeing team. She comes with an impressive range of commercial and clinical experience, both on ward and in the community. Maternity services continuously change and through the creation of the new role of Digital Midwife, we will ensure that Wellbeing remains at the forefront of industry developments and understanding the needs of pregnant women to provide the best care possible.”

Emma Price said:

“I am thrilled to be joining Wellbeing Maternity in the role of Digital Midwife. Digital technology has been identified as a priority to deliver better care by the National Maternity Review, and the pandemic has further highlighted the benefits and importance of these innovations. The aim of this exciting new role is to combine my clinical knowledge with the digital expertise of Wellbeing Maternity, thus delivering solutions that support midwives to provide enhanced care for women and their families”.
