UKIO showcase for Wellbeing’s market-leading collaborative radiology networks
The recent UK Imaging and Oncology Congress (UKIO) brought together the UK’s best and brightest for an insightful exploration of the latest collaborative radiology network and workflow innovations rolling out across the NHS and beyond. The UK’s largest multidisciplinary event in the field, the Liverpool event proved the power of the best minds in the field coming together to discuss both the current challenges and exciting possibilities at the cutting-edge of radiology.
After two years of a fully online event, participants were eager to be back in person for the refreshed congress. This year’s event offered three days of education and CPD with a jam-packed programme showcasing best-in-class solutions for a multidisciplinary audience.
The medical, scientific, educational and management issues in the diverse fields of diagnostic imaging, oncology, and radiological sciences were front and centre, alongside an extensive exhibition of the industry’s latest state-of-the-art software, services and technology.
One of the key messages we kept hearing from partners and practitioners alike was the heavy burden being imposed on the frontline by the mounting backlog of work, exacerbated by the ongoing workforce shortage and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. By understanding the mounting challenges faced right across the field, we are better placed to provide solutions tailored to achieving the biggest impact in the shortest time.
